Born a natural lover of the written word and wanting to be a teacher and writer since her early days in Head Start, a.r.crymes hopes were temporarily squashed when her father convinced her that she would never make a living unless she studied business. Although she continued to write with a passion, a.r. crymes would destroy her yarns and poetry in fear that they would be discovered. Thus decades passed and with the endurance of a wee bit of difficulty, some adversity, major and minor distractions sprinkled with an occasional glimpse of hope and happiness, a B.S. (which she aptly calls her Bull Shit degree) diploma in Accounting was secured, but only to yield to the ever present call of other, more creative outlets, such as cooking, singing, gardening, drawing, thinking and yes, writing. Crymes now emerges as a writer, visual poet, songstress and a freethinker in the truest form of the word.
